Q:To be able to have rights as a human being you should be able to be biologically independent: not depend on one single person for nourishment, and survival. As born you are socially dependent on others to take care of you, which is what gives you right. Biological independence is when you have to chose one side, you cannot chose both. Either you chose the mother, or you chose the embryo. Which one has a bigger right to life?
What of those in ICU, in comatose, dependent on oxygen tanks, machines, and other people? Do they now not have rights? If I recall, rights are not something granted, but inalienable and supposed to be protected.
Biological dependents vs social dependents. You realize that they are both dependent on another person?
No one person has any greater right to life than another. The unborn have an equal right to life as the born because they are both human.
